it’s actually what you are supposed to do. If two lanes merge, drive to the very end and merge there by using the zipper method. That way, both lanes can hold the most traffic and go at the same speed.
The problem is that people wont let you in while traffic is moving. Then you end up stopped trying to merge into moving traffic. Also people ignore lines in the road and will actually go left into your car. If people knew how to drive I would agree with you. Sadly most people do not and they just do stupid things. This is why it’s better to just drive more slowly and cautiously. Id rather it take 5-10 more minutes for me to get somewhere than for it to take hours and tons of headache b/c i get into a crash due to some dumbass.
I see your point but that’s actually the more dangerous way of merging traffic. It’s safer to just merge as soon as possible.

Georgia (the country), Tbilisi police department bought a couple of Ford Taurus Police Interceptor. Probably the only non-North American police force to use these, maybe there are some in Iceland and in the Middle East but it’s rare and it’s not sure why they chose these cars.

You think this is bad? Come to California. People try to merge onto the freeway doing 25MPH while others are doing 40MPH in the fast/passing lane.
Where I’m from no one knows what is the fast and passing lane people that shouldn’t be in the left lane are always in it even when there is no one in the right lane for miles . Drives me absolutely nuts …. I wish the cops helped to enforce it

Why is it so bad exactly? and by trying to bash on someone, then you should ask yourself “why do you even know this song so well” ?
All i know, is that on some reason it’s called ketchup song, but that’s all. I remember seeing it on Viva or something when i was a kid, but that’s all. no idea what the fuzz is about.
and I listen to Modern Talking, CC Catch, Bad Boys Blue, Madonna ..etc in 2018. nothing wrong with old songs, they’re amazing. far better than all this racket they call music nowdays.
So as a rather inexperienced driver, I have a question at 6:30. I understand why it was illegal by if you’re unfamiliar with the city and it’s roads, is there a way you’re supposed to know that the far right turn lane takes you to that side road? It seems the driver realized too late that the far right turn lane wasn’t going to take them where they wanted, but the two turning lanes to the left did, so how exactly is a driver supposed to know that early enough to change into the correct turning lane? Is it just a matter of familiarizing yourself with the streets before you drive them? Forcing yourself into the lane you want is obviously wrong but getting into the right lane beforehand looks a bit confusing to me in this case.
You can be illegal but considerate, which would be to stick on your indicator and wait for a gap, not just drift over all of a sudden causing the other guy to have to brake hard. Technically it’d still be illegal but people will probably understand if you do it considerately.
Also, at 6:40, they completely ignored the cop waving them over. Had they stopped at that point and explained whatever they were doing, they’d probably have been in less trouble as well.
Jarl < I agree. I've never seen a right turn lane that takes you directly onto a ramp. Maybe there was a sign further back of the corner, but it's still odd. Bad design.

It’s called living and learning. Just because you are in the wrong lane for where you are going, doesn’t mean that you can break the law. If you are caught in a situation like this, then legally, you should continue to go right and at the next exit or street, turn around and try again.
