Most tickets are non transferable and state that on the back. There is a private car park in my home town where it states at the entrance that you can pass part used tickets to other cars but it is the only one I have ever seen where you’re allowed to do that.

IMO the only person i saw here be rude was the guy confronting and interrupting the warden so she hadn’t put the ticket in the bin it couldn’t be used regardless. And she did answer your question, your luck she didn’t go and ticket your car as if you have your ticket with you then your car doesn’t.

Don’t doubt your motivations were honourable, but my understanding is that Tickets are NOT transferable to she was correct in issuing a Ticket in the other vehicle, despite your Ticket being there.

These officious wardens deserve all they get from the public. No one believes that they are there to do anything other than drum up revenue for the council. Despite what we are told, they do have targets, and they do lie in their teeth. I’ve even seen them give disabled cars a crafty nudge if the blue badge looks like it might fall off the dashboard. I’ve also seen them issue tickets to Blue badge holders because the badge was the right way up but upside down, or shown fully but on the offside of the vehicle. Most of them are rude, power crazed arseholes and deserve videoing at every opportunity. Despite what they and some police officers tell you, you can video in public without their permission. I’ve had ten illegally issued tickets in my home town. I used to defend them, but now I just let them go to court. It’s far more lucrative for me, as when I win (and since I never park illegally. I always do) I got to claim expenses on top of costs. Give these pricks the hardest time imaginable. They chose the job. They deserve it.
